Abstract

|
The coexistence of intrauterine and extrauterine gestations is a somewhat rare obstetric phenomenon though to occur in 1 of 30,000 spontaneous pregnancy. Recently, assisted reproductive technology (ART) such as IVF and ET are increasingly common
in
the
management of infertility. The increased incidence of heterotopic pregnancy is not suprising. We report a IVF and ET patient resulting in the successful delivery of live infant at term from intrauterine pregnancy following surgical removal of
ruptured
concurrent extrauterine pregnancy.
